I purchased the full-on, midriff-to-thigh version and was quite pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is. Not binding at all. I ordinarily hate Any girdle-type garments for that infer alone. But after a few minutes with the ShaToBu, I even forget I have it on -- akin to a comforting, "swaddled" feeling. My only complaint is that I am "vertically-challenged" (only 5' tall) and quite short-waisted to boot, so if I were to pull the midriff section all the way up as it should be, it would pancake the "girls" in front. So alas, I have to roll it over at the top, development wearing it under a form-fitted top or sweater impossible, due to the bulge. But then, I wasn't expecting a "shaper" per se, just a itsybitsy "umph" to help slim the waist and upper hip where age has come to be a magnet to a few extra fat cells that migrated from other body parts.
I've worn my ShaToBu three days now, so it's way too soon to tell if the hype was worth the cost, but I'm not one to write anyone off without giving it a gool ol' college try. I wear it while doing my daily elliptical workout and think good thoughts. The principle of the garment as one designed to offer a itsybitsy extra resistance to working muscles appeals to my analytical, scientific sensibilities.
Anyway, I shape if nothing else, I'll be burning a few extra calories a day I wouldn't otherwise burn, plainly by the endeavor it takes to pull the garment on and off throughout the day when nature calls. But if that does the trick, I'm golden. I know nothing will give me my pre-menopausal shape back, but if I can regain a nanopercentage with this product, it'll get my unofficial stamp of approval, and hats-off recommendation.
